Iceboy Technologies is responsible for the personal information collected through this website, iceboy.agency. If you have a question about this notice or about your information, email enquiries@iceboy.agency and mention “privacy” in the subject line.

When you send a project enquiry, we collect your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message. Your company name and telephone number are optional. We also record the date and time of your enquiry and the version of this notice you acknowledged.

Please do not include passwords, identity numbers, banking details, health information or confidential customer records in your message. We do not need them to respond.

To protect the form from abuse, we briefly derive a one-way, scrambled code from your network address so we can limit how many enquiries are sent in a short time. The code cannot be turned back into your address and is deleted automatically after ten minutes.

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media plugins.

We use the information in your enquiry only to understand your project, reply to you and, if you ask us to, prepare a proposal. This is processing you request before any agreement is made, and it is in our legitimate interest to respond to business enquiries.

We use the technical information only to run the website securely and prevent abuse, which is in our legitimate interest and yours.

We do not use your enquiry for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or rent your information, and we do not make automated decisions about you. Acknowledging this notice is not consent to marketing.

Your enquiry is read only by the Iceboy Technologies team members who handle enquiries.

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and under our instructions: Vercel, which hosts this website; Resend, which delivers the enquiry to our inbox; Upstash, which stores the temporary anti-abuse code; and our email hosting provider, which holds our mailbox.

We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Our service providers operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the European Union and the United States. We choose providers that commit to protecting personal information through data processing terms, and we limit what we send them to what each service needs.

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can follow up on the conversation, and then delete them. If your enquiry leads to a project, the related correspondence is kept for as long as our agreement and legal record-keeping obligations require.

The anti-abuse code is deleted after ten minutes. Hosting providers keep technical logs for a limited period under their own retention rules.

The website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it, and the accounts that hold them are protected with multifactor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, which is one reason we ask you not to send sensitive information through the form.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. Email enquiries@iceboy.agency. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live. In South Africa, that is the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. Please do not send us an enquiry if you are under 18.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this notice and its version and date below. The version you acknowledged is recorded with your enquiry.
